Meet The Boss!

Andy grew up in St Helens Lancashire. After completing his BSc (Hons) (1993—1996) and later his PhD (1996—1999) at the University of Durham under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Hughes, Professor Ken Wade FRS and Professor Judith Howard FRS CBE, three people who he is eternally grateful to, he went on to postdoc for several years.

After a postdoctoral position with Professor Pierre Dixneuf at the University of Rennes (1999—2000), he returned to the UK to work with Professor Matthew Davidson (2000—2003) and then Professor Paul Raithby (2003—2006) at the University of Bath.

Andy was appointed to a University Lectureship in Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Bath in 2009 and promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2016.
